Aaron "Lucky" Li and the Benefits of Acupuncture on Fertility

Aaron “Lucky” Li, owner of Lucky Flow Acupuncture in Livonia, MI

The practice of acupuncture runs deep in Aaron “Lucky” Li’s family, practically making him and apprentice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Lucky obtained certification in acupuncture from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Science, Beijing 2009. During these in-depth studies at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, he had the privilege of shadowing China’s leading acupuncturist, Dr. Hu Guang, the primary researcher of Tung’s Extraordinary Points.

Lucky has a gorgeous and brand-new acupuncture center. Lucky Flow Acupuncture is located at 19244 Newburgh Road’ Livonia, MI 48152. Many of his clients happen to be fertility patients. The treatment of infertility with acupuncture and Chinese herbs dates back 2,000 years. The ancient time-tested techniques improve fertility rates and support a woman’s whole body, allowing for unlimited potential for healthy, healing and childbearing.

Lucky made a generous donation to RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and was a Presenting Sponsor for the 2022 Detroit, MI Walk of Hope.

As one of the two co-chairs of the Detroit, MI Walk of Hope, early in 2022, I asked the women for whom I provide general infertility support groups to help me expand my search for sponsors to support RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association. One of my missions for the Walk of Hope is to highlight resources available to the infertility community. One of the members from my support group has been receiving acupuncture treatments from Lucky for quite some time. She truly believes that Lucky has helped her on her journey; moreover, she is now currently expecting!!!!

When this woman put me in touch with Lucky, we initially discussed the benefits of acupuncture for those who struggle to become pregnant. Soon afterwards Lucky decided he would like to become a Presenting Sponsor for the 2022 Walk of Hope. He generously donated $3000 to RESOLVE, the largest nonprofit infertility support organization in the U.S. RESOLVE works tirelessly to provide free support groups, programs, and advocacy for affordable access to care for ALL who struggle to build their families. In addition to Lucky’s generous donation, Lucky also offered me a complimentary acupuncture treatment.

I am well beyond my childbearing years, but I admit I do have some stiff joints and a nagging dry cough. I agreed to allow Lucky to provide me with one of his acupuncture treatments. When I first arrived at his beautiful clinic, I was greeted by his friendly and competent reception staff. They immediately told Lucky I had arrived, and he eagerly came out to greet me. He was so friendly and welcoming, and I could already tell he was a compassionate soul. He repeatedly assured me that he knows he can help those who struggle to become pregnant through his acupuncture treatments.

I was greeted by a very friendly staff at Lucky Flow.

After completing a thorough new patient consultation and filling out necessary paperwork, I had my first treatment. I was also given some complimentary herb cubes to suck on while receiving my treatment. The combination of herbs and acupuncture could help relieve my cough as well. I found the herbs to be a pleasant flavor combination of citrus and mint. In addition, each treatment is customized according to an individual’s health and wellness goals.

I had a positive first acupuncture experience at Lucky Flow.

Lucky was so fast and competent at inserting 23 whisper-thin needles into anatomical locations of my body to treat my conditions that I barely noticed anything. There were a couple of times when I felt a mild sting, almost like the snap of a rubber band on my skin. Lucky told me that when a patient “feels that sting, he knows he’s hit the jackpot.” Very soon, I was relaxing in his extremely comfortable and adjustable treatment chair for thirty minutes, letting the acupuncture and the herb cubes do their work.

After my treatment, Lucky and I sat down to discuss how we could work together to help the infertility community. I agreed to share the experience of my first acupuncture treatment with Lucky through my blog. I also invited Lucky to be a guest presenter for one of my upcoming support groups, and I am pleased to announce that he will be joining my group on June 20, 2022. If people can be educated as to the benefits of acupuncture, then perhaps more people would seek treatment. I truly believe it’s worth a try.

When I was about to leave Lucky’s clinic, he explained that typically, acupuncture is cumulative and takes several sessions to be the most effective and provide consistent results. However, the day after my treatment, it was a little easier and less painful for me to get around and complete my normal daily activities. My joints felt good enough for me to do some extra walking and yard work, and my husband was really glad about that.

It has been a pleasure to partner with Lucky! Here’s to a long and meaningful association!

So, if you, or someone you know is considering acupuncture, I highly recommend Aaron “Lucky” Li. He is a master at his craft, and I know you will be in excellent hands. And I am really crossing my fingers and toes that Lucky will be back next year as a sponsor once again for the 2023 Detroit, MI Walk of Hope.

 In-Fertility & Friendship,
Sue
